Dana patterson
president

Dana Patterson Grear is Director of Marketing and Communications for Princeton Hydro, a mission driven ecological engineering consulting firm, where she specializes in proposal & grant writing, digital media strategy, stakeholder engagement, & branding. She is a passionate environmental communicator who has worked across the nonprofit, academic, and private sectors and focuses on values-based communication techniques. She lives in Mount Holly and has served on SSJ’s Board of Trustees since 2019. On weekends, you can find Dana bird watching in parks, capturing nature’s beauty through photography, exploring new trails with her husband and dogs Max and Theo, and browsing thrift and antique stores.


Michael Moore
Vice president

Michael joined Sustainable South Jersey in 2015 and has served as an SSJ board member since 2018. He works as a Senior Business System Analyst at American Express GBT and President of Moore Media, a web development company he founded in 1998 and from 2021, is also a member of Amex GBTs Sustainability team, Green@GBT which supports the company’s sustainability initiatives and currently serves as its co-Chair. Michael is a 2018 Sustainable Jersey Regional Hub Grant Program recipient and a Rutgers Environmental Steward.

Ed cohen

Ed has held leadership roles with Mt Laurel Green Team, Tri-County Sustainability Alliance, Sustainable South Jersey and an Environmental Education Working Group in Camden. During that time, Ed has run a variety of outreach events including: films, talks, and a program to lend Kill-a-watt meters at our library. Ed has given talks on Climate Change, Energy Use and Water Conservation. He has published green articles in newspapers, magazines, and online, and performed Green magic shows. He received the Camden SMART Environmental Hero Award, Sustainable Jersey “Sustainability Hero”, and a Sustainable Cherry Hill ‘Agent for Change’.

Lisa works professionally in environmental sustainability at Booz Allen Hamilton, bringing industry expertise to support the nonprofit’s mission. Based in Cherry Hill, NJ, Lisa is passionate about environmental education and community engagement, and she supports initiatives that connect people with South Jersey’s natural spaces. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, geocaching, visiting local breweries, and working on DIY home projects.

ANN MATHEW

Ann works professionally as an environmental scientist at Urban Engineers where she focuses on ensuring that urban development is approached with environmental responsibility and community sustainability in mind. Her background offers practical expertise that benefits Sustainable South Jersey’s work in education, stewardship, and community engagement. As a Marlton resident, Ann is passionate about helping local residents and small business owners embrace sustainability and become active stewards of the South Jersey’s unique natural resources and ecological heritage. Ann also enjoys cooking, visiting local coffee shops, and going to yoga classes.

Mike is a founder and past President & COO of Office Practicum where he is currently General Manager of Behavioral Health Systems. SSJ provides an active organization to channel his concerns about climate change. Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, playing guitar with the Christ Out Light Music ministry, and riding with the South Jersey outdoors club.
